Editorial and corrections policy

Readers use these pages to decide when to lodge a citizenship application worth several hundred dollars and how to prepare for a test they may sit only a limited number of times. An outdated fee or a wrong day count can cost them a refusal, so every figure on the site points back to the official page it was read on.

Who is responsible

Radif Partners, reachable at contact@australiacitizenshipquiz.com.

What we read

  • the Department of Home Affairs: the test and interview pages, the eligibility pages for each route, the ceremony pages and the monthly processing times;
  • form 1298i, the schedule of citizenship fees;
  • Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond, the official booklet, published under CC BY 4.0;
  • the Australian Citizenship Act 2007 and the Australian Citizenship Regulation 2016, for definitions only.

How the questions are written

Every question is written from a fact in the testable section of Our Common Bond, with the part named. We never copy a question from an app, a book, another practice site or the real test, and we never present our questions as the official ones.

Sources we refuse

Migration agents, law firms, app publishers, forums and practice sites never supply a figure here. A rule we cannot find on an official page is not published.

Review cycle

A script compares the fee form and the processing table with our parameter file: by hand until the site is published, then automatically every month. The booklet and the rules are read again whenever Home Affairs announces a change. Every page shows the date of the last check.

Corrections

  1. We open the official page or form again.
  2. We correct the parameter file or the question and add a test for the case.
  3. The site is rebuilt and shows the new date.
